The Self Destructing Painting

Introduction
This article is about a painting named "Girl with a balloon" but recently changed to, "Love is in the Bin". On October 5, 2018 the painting was at an auction place named Sotheby's, located in London, when suddenly the painting slipped out of the frame and shredded half way through! If your curious about this, then this article is just for you! But be ready to get surprised!
The Self Destructing Painting
"When the hammer came down last week and the work was shredded, I was at first shocked, but gradually I began to realize that I would end up with my own piece of art history."  Is what the owner of the painting "Love is in the bin" said after she got the painting at an auction. She bought the painting for $1.4 million! And right when the gavel hit the block, a beeping sound came from the painting, and spontaneously the painting slid half way threw the frame, and while it slid, it shredded! That means someone in that room had to had pressed a button to activate the shredder! Creepy.
After they asked the client, who had just bought the painting, if she wanted her money back. She then said "no" because after that happened, actually, that painting became even more valuable! The value of the painting has increased, and is now estimated to be worth $2,000,000! That is CRAZY is in it ?

After that happened, on Instagram, Banksy, the artist of the painting posted a video on why and how he shredded the painting! He admitted it! The thing about Banksy is that he is a street artist, who is a demonstrator on how paintings these days are to expensive. So in 2006 when he made the painting he hid a shredder behind it, so that if one day it were ever going to sell at an auction, he would shred it. He admitted there was a malfunction, in the first place it was actually supposed to shred all the way through! It turns out though that Banksy's little plan may have not worked as he thought, because he wanted to destroy it so it wouldn't be expensive anymore, but, it turns out he made it even more expensive because this has never happened in art history!

One thing I want to let you know, is that since the mysterious Banksy has never disclosed his full identity, maybe he was in the auction but since no one know's who Banksy is, he could have been there like a normal person while hiding a button or something with him, to activate the shredder. I don't know, this is my guess, what do you think ? Leave in the comments down below! And now this blog post will self destruct in 30 seconds! ;]
